ABWC Factory Team 281 has officially structured its technical and tactical leadership, appointing two prominent figures from aerospace and aviation sectors to manage trackside operations and the dynamic development of the ArcaBoard 2 vehicles.

The ArcaBoard World Championship (ABWC) marks a crucial milestone in its preparation for the inaugural competitive season. Factory Team 281 has officially structured its technical and tactical leadership, appointing two prominent figures from the aerospace and aviation sectors to manage trackside operations and the dynamic development of the ArcaBoard 2 vehicles.

Paul Răduț - Engineering Rigor at the Helm of Team 281

Paul Răduț, Chief Engineer at ArcaSpace, has been appointed as Team Principal. Drawing on extensive experience in the design, manufacturing, and integration of aerospace systems across ARCA projects, Răduț will oversee race strategy, energy management, and tactical decisions in the pit lane for Team 281.

His leadership ensures a supreme level of technical precision. In a Single-Spec championship where all vehicles utilize identical battery configurations and EDF fan setups, the margin between victory and defeat will come down to micro-adjustments in ground-effect calibration and split-second pit stop execution.

"Our mission for Factory Team 281 is to set the benchmark for precision in the paddock. When operating just 10 centimeters off the ground on an ultra-sensitive cushion of air, no tactical decision is too small. We will approach every heat with an engineering mindset focused on precision and maximum efficiency." stated Paul Răduț.

Mădălin Ivan - Bringing Vast Aviation Expertise to the After Asphalt Era

The Test Pilot seat for Factory Team 281 will be held by Mădălin Ivan, an accomplished flight instructor and pilot with extensive experience in civil and sports aviation. With more than 1,000 flight hours and a deep understanding of complex aerodynamics, Ivan will be responsible for the fine calibration of ArcaBoard 2, validating power delivery profiles, and leading the theoretical and practical training for future pilots in Squadron N10.

Reflexes honed at the flight controls, combined with his ability to instantaneously read airflow dynamics, surface turbulence, and EDF thrust response, make Mădălin Ivan the ideal specialist to push the boundaries of ArcaBoard 2 during testing sessions at Cosmobaza.

"Leveraging expertise from classic aviation into ground-effect flight dynamics at ultra-low altitudes is an extraordinary challenge. ArcaBoard 2 demands a unique balance of control finesse and motorsport reflexes. We aim to transform this machine into a natural extension of the pilot." highlighted Mădălin Ivan.

A Strong Signal for the ABWC Grid

By appointing Paul Răduț and Mădălin Ivan, Factory Team 281 sends a clear message across the entire grid: the factory entry enters Season 1 backed by a massive reserve of technical know-how and flight expertise. The dynamic tension between the official development team and incoming private franchises promises to be one of the most compelling narratives in the After Asphalt docu-reality series.

Official testing sessions featuring the new leadership lineup of Team 281 will commence shortly at the ArcaSpace Cosmobaza.

Team Participation in the Championship

The factory team bears the competition number and name 281 as a tribute to the six Black Sea missions executed by ArcaSpace aboard the Romanian Naval Forces ship 281 Constanța.

Team 281, displaying the Naval Grey livery, will enter Season 1 of the ArcaBoard World Championship, ready to step onto the grid at any moment should a privately managed team be unable to field a vehicle for a race.

Team 281 and its pilots will score points, which will be displayed in the official standings just like any other team. However, given its special status as a factory entity, these points will not count toward the end-of-season World Drivers' or Teams' Championships, remaining solely within the historical record of the team and pilot.
