On this day, September 27, in 2007, ArcaSpace launched Mission 2 from the shore of the Black Sea. A solar balloon built by ArcaSpace lifted the Stabilo rocket into the stratosphere. The rocket then splashed down in the Black Sea under its parachute, and was recovered by a ship. Some of the footage was recorded with the Sony F900 camera used to film Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.
