Historical Archives, P24 - Throwing 1/4 tonne with a catapult for the AirStrato drone
On 4 July 2014, testing of the catapult designed to launch the AirStrato drone began. Using a pneumatic catapult capable of launching a quarter-tonne payload enabled ArcaSpace to launch the AirStrato drone without requiring a runway. Footage was filmed in full HD using a Canon 5D Mark II, 600D, HF S10, HF200 and Sony Xperia Z. The full HD footage was then upscaled to 4K.
